Devin Desktop (formerly Windsurf) keyboard shortcuts
Devin Desktop is the AI code editor that was called Windsurf until June 2026. Cascade, its original agent, was removed on 8 September 2026, and the agent now is Devin Local. The documentation gives only a small set of keys of its own, for the agent panel, for Command, which edits code in place, for Tab, its suggestions, and for the Agent Command Center. The release notes add a few more, and each of those rows says which release it comes from.

Version: Devin Desktop 3.10, with the Devin Local agent, default keymap.

The agent panel
Devin Local is the agent here. It shares its workings with Devin CLI, and asks before it acts as often as its permission rules say.
Practise theseChanging a command before it runs
When Devin Local asks before running a command, you can click the command on the request card and change it first. These keys work while you do, from the release notes of 3.6.22, 29 July 2026. The card's own keys, to approve, always allow or reject, are shown on its buttons; the documentation does not list them.
Command, for edits in place
Command writes or rewrites code where the cursor is, from an instruction. Select code first and it edits that; otherwise it writes at the cursor.
Practise theseTab, the suggestions
Practise theseThe Agent Command Center and Spaces
The Agent Command Center shows every agent session, local and cloud, in one place. A Space groups the sessions, pull requests, files and context for one task.
Practise theseDevin cloud sessions
Sessions of Devin, the cloud agent, run on their own machines and sit beside the local ones.

Cursor
Cursor is built on VS Code, so the whole VS Code keymap comes with it and everything on that page still applies.
Copilot
This covers GitHub Copilot inside VS Code, where Microsoft's documentation gives each Copilot key for Windows and for Mac.
VS Code
VS Code has more shortcuts than anyone can hold in their head, so this page is ordered by how often you would actually reach for one.
Claude Code
This covers Claude Code, the terminal tool, which is where the shortcuts are.
